Before Class

Fill out the New Student Intake Form (below) prior to coming to your first class or yogi consult.

You should eat something light about 30-60 minutes before class. Everyone is different, so follow what feels best for your body.  

Arrive 5 - 10 minutes prior to class time, turn your cell phone off and set your spot up!

What to Bring

All you need is a bottle of water, comfortable clothing and a yoga mat. 

I do have some good eco-friendly, 5mm thick yoga mats for sale if you would like to buy one.

Yoga mat rental of $2 per class for use of studio mats.

What to Expect

Om Grown Yoga studio is in a home in Airdrie, designed for 6 or less students.

We start class with a bit of breath connection, allowing ourselves to become present, release stress and outdoor influences.  

We will move into our poses whether it is a flow or restorative practice, you will be guided into each pose with precise instructions and modifications that each specific student may need - during this time, talking with each other is totally allowed!

At the end of class, we spend anywhere from 3 to 10 minutes in savasana where you will be guided for the first part and left to relax in complete stillness for the rest!

Just a couple rules

  • Make sure your cell phone is on silent and left outside the room.
  • No being belligerent, racist, sexist or annoying.  
  • Please keep in mind that because this is a home studio, the majority of the students are regulars so we often do chat during classes, however we are very inclusive and welcoming to everyone!  If you require complete silence during class, there are larger studios that can accommodate you!
